It’s pretty astounding that 64% of women don’t know their true bra size. Do you know yours?
On June 17, Lotus Leaf opened its showroom doors to Canada’s top media including editors, producers, bloggers, stylists and tastemakers for an intimate bra-fitting #FindTheOne event.
Our friends from FASHION, Flare, The Kit, LOULOU, Cityline, Huffington Post, Dare Magazine, and eTalk fan-girled over the lacey jewel-tone bra and panty sets, high-waisted velvet bottoms, and sexy bodysuits.
Guests visited our custom fitting rooms and met with Triumph’s professional bra-fitters, Melissa and Leslie. The two ladies helped guests find their correct bra size, and taught them some tips and tricks as to what they should look for when bra shopping in the future.
Of course, no Lotus Leaf event would be without treats (hello, Shotberries) or drinks (#mimosas). Guests enjoyed artistic sugar cookies, macaroons and cream puffs by The Purple Cupcake. Chicken croquettes, a delicious cheese board and mini spring rolls from Vert were also on display and enjoyed. Food game on point.
Our intern, Danielle had the chance to interview Triumph’s bra-fitter Melissa to get her top 3 bra fitting tips when trying to #FindTheOne:
# 1 – BAND FIT: Make sure your band is as tight as comfortably possible. If you find your band riding up your back, try a smaller band size.
#2 – FRONT & CENTRE: The front centre of the bra (where the cups meet) should be right up against your breastbone. If it’s not touching your skin, go up a cup size until it does.
#3 – CUPPAGE: If you’re seeing your breast spilling out of the cups, go up a cup size until all breast tissue is contained. To do a double check, put a t-shirt on and the front of your tee should appear smooth with no visible lines.
