TIFF Style Guide: It’s Showtime!

CLIENTS / LATEST NEWS / September 4, 2014

From September 4th to 14th, 2014 in Toronto, the sidewalks become your red carpet and the city, your runway. Can’t handle the pressure? Don’t worry, we got you.

Each year the Toronto International Film Festival attracts an influx of celebrities and non-celebrities alike, causing enough buzz to cast a palpable energy over our city. Sure, it’s nice to watch from afar, but I prefer to get in on the action myself. Whether I’m walking to work in the morning or right into the After Party at night, I’m going to make sure I look the part. I mean, you really never know who’ll be watching.

But how do you stand out? We’re in competition with A-list celebrities at every single event we happen to snag tickets to, and we all know they’re going to be dressed like gold. Even the Z-list celebs have a high-end designer outfit for every outing of the week, so you can understand how it can be a little tough to compete.

Well, ladies and gents, the answer to this dilemma is STYLE. Yes, that’s right – real, raw, no questions asked style. It doesn’t matter how expensive the dress is or how haute couture the hat, if you can look like a million bucks on a budget then you’re red-carpet worthy in Lotus Leaf’s diary any day.

Below I’ve pulled together three different looks guaranteed to impress during every second of TIFF. These suggestions, accessorized with your own unique confidence and BAM! – you’re red-carpet ready!
